Welcome to dbTSMP!
Tumor specific membrane protein database (dbTSMP) is a comprehensive protein database composed of tumor specific membrane protein sequences and annotation data.
Compared to other tumor databases, dbTSMP focuses on the annotation of tumor membrane proteins and their biological functions. It aims to obtain genomic and transcriptomic data from databases such as TCGA and GTEx, conduct differential analysis of genes and proteins using tools such as PERL and R, and screen for tumor-specific membrane proteins using the ID mapping function in The Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) database.
Subsequently, membrane protein sequences, structures, biological functions, and other protein basic information are obtained. Then, protein data related to tumor functions are annotated using RStudio, Python toolkits, and numerous protein databases, such as cancer-related peptide amino acid mutation annotations, drug target annotations, and protein post-translational modifications. Finally, dbTSMP is built using MySQL database and PHP technology, HTML language, CSS, and JS webpage building tools. It can be said that dbTSMP database resources are a direct manifestation tool at the protein level.
